Sometimes when my wife is questioning me or confronting me about an issue, I get nervous and I try to think of why we are arguing.

If it doesn’t make sense to me, I get more nervous and uncomfortably laugh a few times to alleviate my stress. Like, I can’t believe this is happening. She then gets angry because she thinks I’m mocking her or discrediting her justifications for being angry. And thinks I’m gaslighting her.
