THE LUNCH CREED
No one is more hungry than I. I have an empty stomach; a
case of the munchies. As a hungry soldier, I realize I have
about an hour to eat. I am proud of the work I've got out of
this morning, and will at all times know all the exits in the
building so as to fall out of the area, be the first in line, & have
sufficient funds, regardless of whether we are released
or not. I will not use my grade or position to cut in line.
I will not forget, to allow my comrades to forget, to pick up
the check, and tip for me. HOAH.
Cookies are my favorite. My two basic food groups will always
be uppermost in my mind: carbohydrates from cookies, & fat
& sugar from ice cream. I will strive to remain satisfied & full.
I am aware of the restaurants we have on post. I will eat at
every restaurant on post. All soldiers are entitled to enough
time to eat. I will exceed that time. I will chew consistently in
my mouth, and never leave it empty. I will be fair and impartial
when balancing both coupons and specials.
Olive Garden provides plenty of salad and breadsticks. They
will not have to refill mine. I will be polite to those with whom
I order from: cashiers, waitresses and bartenders alike. They
will earn my respect and confidence, as well as my tips. I will
exercise occasionally in the absence of muscles.
